The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ...

The gospel — meaning "good news" — is the message that God created humanity for relationship with Him, but sin broke that relationship. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, and rose from the dead on the third day. Through faith in Jesus, anyone can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received by faith — not earned by good works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and willingly died on a cross to take the punishment humanity deserved for sin. Three days later, He rose bodily from the dead, defeating sin and death. He is now exalted at the right hand of the Father and will return to judge the living and the dead. He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6) and the Savior of all who put their trust in Him.

To be saved, believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead, and confess with your mouth that He is Lord (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a gift from God received by faith — not by religious effort or good works. Repent of sin (turn away from it and toward God), place your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and begin following Him through prayer, reading the Bible, and joining a local church.

Do I need to clean up my life first?

2. Broken

Jesus — God in human flesh — stepped into our broken world and took our place. On the cross, He absorbed every sin, every shame, every consequence we deserved. And three days later, He rose from the dead.
